T.J. Miller Claims Ryan Reynolds Was “Horrifically Mean” During Deadpool Filming and Describes Him as “Insecure Dude”

As a devoted Marvel fan with years of comic book history under my belt, I must say that the latest release, “Deadpool & Wolverine,” is nothing short of spectacular. The reunion of classic characters like Evans’ Human Torch, Garner’s Elektra, and Snipes’ Blade, combined with the diligent effort by Reynolds and Levy to bring back the original Deadpool crew, has truly made this film a triumph.

The latest film featuring Deadpool alongside Wolverine has just been released and is currently shattering box office records, making it one of the highest-grossing MCU movies in recent history. A key element contributing to its success is the reintroduction of iconic Marvel characters such as Evans’ Human Torch, Garner’s Elektra, and Snipes’ Blade.

Moreover, Reynolds and Levy worked diligently to bring together the cast of earlier Deadpool movies, which significantly boosted the film’s success.

Significantly, it’s worth mentioning that Morena Baccarin, Rob Delaney, Leslie Uggams, Karan Soni, Briana Hildebrand, Shioli Kutsuna, and Stefan Kapičić all returned to their respective roles in the production. However, T.J. Miller’s character, Weasley, was noticeably missing.

It’s possible that Miller’s recent legal troubles and accusations of sexual misconduct could explain why he wasn’t involved in the film. Initially, he tried to brush off his absence by claiming indifference towards the project. Although they worked together before, it seems that Reynolds and Miller had a tense relationship, although Reynolds has remained silent on this matter. Interestingly, Miller spoke about their strained relationship on The Adam Carolla Show last year, implying that fame might have had a detrimental effect on Reynolds.

In simpler terms, it appears that the speaker believes Ryan Reynolds might not be fond of them, or perhaps they have a complicated friendship (frenemy). They jokingly suggest that Reynolds may dislike them due to their comments about his good looks during an interview on Hot Ones. The speaker finds Reynolds attractive, but notes that his charm can distract viewers and potentially make it difficult for others to laugh at him because he resembles the guy who dated their high-school girlfriend. Despite this, they admire Reynolds’ comedic skills and find him hilarious when his face is covered, due to his quick wit and humor. However, they feel that his fame from Deadpool may have changed him for the worse after its initial success.

Additionally, Miller confessed that he wouldn’t collaborate with the actor anymore, due to some disquieting incidents from their history together.

Have we a chance of collaborating with him again? Not at this point. I’ve expressed my reservations about working with Michael Bay before, but surprisingly, we became friends afterwards, which may lead to future projects. However, I believe Michael Bay is an exception. He did work with Ryan Reynolds on a movie, and his views on Reynolds are quite particular. Our last discussion regarding this topic was intriguing. I hope he finds success because of his exceptional work in Deadpool, but it’s peculiar that he seems to dislike me, as some people may be aware. There was an unusual incident during the filming of Deadpool when he demanded another take, and everyone agreed, but I felt comfortable and assured everyone I was fine. Then, in character, he behaved abominably towards me, almost as if I were Weasel.

He said something like, “What’s impressive about you, Weasel, is that you don’t hog the spotlight. Instead, you provide just enough background info that it’s amusing, allowing us to move on and focus on the main story.”

Miller also revealed that there was a lot of “riffing” happening on set.

As someone who has spent years in the entertainment industry, I must say that I’ve encountered my fair share of unusual and eccentric personalities. However, there was this one individual who truly stood out from the crowd – he was an exceptional improviser, but his unique antics often left me (and many others) scratching our heads.

Additionally, Miller noted that Reynolds might be feeling insecure and suggested he was presenting a meticulously constructed public persona.

It seems to me he might come across as somewhat insecure, despite his friendly demeanor. His Twitter bio, “showing you the parts of me that Focus Tested the best in focus groups,” leaves me questioning if it’s a joke or not. I have a feeling that he may genuinely feel this way based on what he shared.

Reynolds’ team, including Deadpool and Wolverine, haven’t addressed Weasel’s absence yet, but they clarified the reasons behind excluding certain other characters, such as Brolin’s Cable, from the crew.
