As a lifestyle expert with a keen eye for entertainment trends, I must say that the upcoming Season 2 of Tulsa King on Paramount+ has me genuinely excited! Having spent countless hours immersed in the world of TV and film, I can confidently assert that Sylvester Stallone’s portrayal of Dwight Manfredi is a performance not to be missed.
As a devoted fan of Paramount+ and a lover of gritty, gripping dramas, I was thrilled to see the official trailer for Tulsa King Season 2. The new season promises to be just as intense and captivating as the first, with a country tune by Jelly Roll, a talented musician whose music has become an integral part of my daily life. I can’t wait to see how his cameo in the series will unfold, adding another layer of excitement to this already intriguing storyline. I feel like I’m on the edge of my seat just thinking about it!
In the trailer, Sylvester Stallone portrays Dwight Manfredi, a former crime boss who transitions to leading a new criminal organization in Oklahoma. In one scene, Stallone’s character asserts that conflicts can be effectively resolved by delivering a firm blow, saying, “A well-placed punch is the best way to settle disputes.” Additionally, Stallone declares his ownership of Tulsa with confidence, stating, “Tulsa is mine now. I don’t take orders from anyone,” foreshadowing a tense season as he and his team face challenges in defending their territory against rival gangs from Kansas City and a powerful local tycoon.
The second season kicks off on Sunday, September 15th. This time around, Dwight and his crew are focused on expanding and safeguarding their burgeoning enterprise in Tulsa. Yet, they encounter difficulties from the Kansas City mafia and a formidable local entrepreneur. Additionally, Dwight has some lingering problems to address back in New York.
101 Studios and MTV Entertainment Studios are responsible for creating this series, with Taylor Sheridan serving as executive producer and Terence Winter handling the writing duties. This season, Craig Zisk will also be directing. Despite some production challenges such as Terence Winter temporarily stepping down and then returning as the main writer, the show looks set to carry on with its momentum.
Towards the finale of season 1, it emerged that Dwight’s 25-year prison term was a cover for Chickie (Domenick Lombardozzi). Upon this revelation, Dwight confronted Chickie and sent him back to New York. Furthermore, he engaged in conflict with gang leader Caolan Waltrip (Ritchie Coster), who met his end in a bar brawl. Yet, the outcome for Dwight became questionable as ATF agents apprehended him during the opening of his bar, following a tip-off from FBI agent Stacy.
In Season 2, the story continues as Dwight and his team broaden and safeguard their domain. They encounter challenges not only from the Kansas City crime syndicate but also a local entrepreneur.
As a long-time fan of Sylvester Stallone and his action-packed movies, I eagerly anticipate the release of the second season of our favorite show, which features him alongside Martin Starr, Jay Will, Max Casella, Vincent Piazza, and Tatiana Zappardino. I’m also excited to see new additions Neal McDonough and Rich Ting join the cast. Filming took place in Oklahoma and Atlanta, two locations that hold a special place in my heart as a traveler who has visited both cities. The first trailer for season 2 was unveiled on June 26, 2024, and I’m counting down the days until the new season premieres on Paramount+ on September 15, 2024, in the U.S. and Canada, and a day later internationally. I can hardly wait to immerse myself in this thrilling world once again!
