In an unexpectedly amusing turn of events, I found myself making a cameo alongside comedy legends Meg Ryan and Billy Crystal, in the When Harry Met Sally Super Bowl ad. We all gathered once more at the same iconic deli, revisiting our characters from last year, for a Hellman’s commercial.
Beyond the location, the pair also reenact the memorable scene of the actress appearing utterly delighted by her meal, causing some discomfort among other patrons.
In this scene from Euphoria, one of the actors (not part of the on-screen couple) sitting at a table nearby observes Ryan’s facial expressions intently and decides to order the same sandwich with mayo, just like his co-star. Then, Zendaya’s character, Sweeney, quips, “I’ll have what she’s having.
Speaking about collaborating with Meg Ryan and Billy Crystal on a nostalgic and funny advertisement, the actress from Anyone But You expressed her delight in a statement. She mentioned that working with these legends was a privilege, as ‘When Harry Met Sally’ is a beloved romantic comedy classic. Adding Hellmann’s to the mix seemed like a natural fit, making it an obvious choice for this project.
Furthermore, Sweeney posted set photos on her Instagram, accompanied by the caption, “I felt what she felt.” In one slide of her post, the actress can be seen smiling as she poses in front of a memory wall, with her hand pointing at the pictures. The star of Madame Web seemed delighted.
