I was so excited to hear about the premiere of The Housemaid! Lionsgate really did it up, holding the event in Los Angeles at the famous TCL Chinese Theatre. It was amazing to see Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried there, along with so many other people from the industry. It all happened just before the movie officially came out on December 19th, and I’ve been counting down the days ever since!
The two actresses turned heads on the red carpet with their glamorous styles. Sydney Sweeney wore a beautiful white dress, and Amanda Seyfried chose a bold red outfit. Fans and photographers loved their looks and captured many photos throughout the evening.

Directed by Paul Feig and written by Rebecca Sonnenshine, The Housemaid is a thrilling mystery based on Freida McFadden’s 2022 novel. The story follows Millie Calloway, a young woman with a difficult history, who takes a job as a live-in maid for a rich family. While working in their home, she uncovers disturbing secrets and their carefully constructed world starts to fall apart.
Amanda Seyfried plays Nina Winchester, a rich woman who employs Millie. The cast also includes Brandon Sklenar as Nina’s husband, Andrew, Michele Morrone as the groundskeeper Enzo, and Elizabeth Perkins as Andrew’s mother, Evelyn. Rounding out the ensemble are Indiana Elle, Mark Grossman, Hannah Cruz, Megan Ferguson, and Ellen Tamaki.
Filming for the movie happened in New Jersey between January and March. Lionsgate is releasing the film in cinemas throughout the US and Canada on December 19th.
