The first trailer is out for *The Housemaid*, a thrilling new movie with Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried. Directed by Paul Feig, it will be in theaters on December 19, 2025.
Story Details
Inspired by Freida McFadden’s popular novel, *The Housemaid* centers around Millie (Sweeney), a young woman with a troubled past who hopes for a fresh start. She finds work as a live-in housekeeper for the affluent couple, Nina (Seyfried) and Andrew Winchester (Brandon Sklenar).
I was so captivated by how quickly things went downhill! What began as a promising situation soon became a nightmare, filled with hidden truths and ruthless maneuvering. The house itself felt like a threat, and the story just kept building and building, with twists I genuinely didn’t see coming. It really kept me on the edge of my seat, constantly wondering what would happen next!
