Sydney Sweeney Spills Beans on How Things Change For Cassie in ‘Unhinged’ Euphoria Season 3: ‘She is Crazy…’

Sydney Sweeney is gearing up to return to our screens once more. She’ll be taking on her character Cassie again in the next season of Euphoria, joining cast members like Zendaya, Jacob Elordi, and others. The actress behind Anyone But You hinted that this new season will be absolutely “uncensored.

During an interview with Empire Magazine, the celebrated actor expressed that Cassie has never been more contented in season 3. What’s more, she divulged that her character has also never been more unhinged at this point.

During the interview with the media, Sweeney expressed that Cassie holds a special place in his heart and is very precious to him.

The actress also mentioned, “She’s quite eccentric, prone to errors, and has numerous imperfections, yet she acts from a heart full of love, even if it’s tinged with sadness. Playing such an unstable character is delightful. Working with Sam [Levinson] is a joy because I can suggest we go even further into the madness, and he always encourages me to do so. This season is truly wild.

This year in January, the creators of the series officially started filming. Notably, all the actors from the previous seasons will rejoin for the upcoming episodes.

In the second season, Euphoria unveiled a more sinister narrative, and viewers were made privy to Cassie’s clandestine relationship with Nate, who was known for his abusive behavior towards Maxie.

Apart from Euphoria, Sweeney also completed her shooting for an untitled biopic of Christy Martin. 

The new season of Euphoria will hit the digital screens by the end of 2025 or early 2026.
