Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried Star in New Look at Thriller ‘The Housemaid’

I just saw a brand new clip from the upcoming movie The Housemaid, and it’s seriously intriguing! It’s my first glimpse of Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried together in it, and they look fantastic. It definitely seems like a psychological thriller that’s going to keep you on the edge of your seat.

Paul Feig directed the film, which was written by Rebecca Sonnenshine. It’s based on Freida McFadden’s 2022 novel with the same title.

Sydney Sweeney stars as Millie Calloway, a young woman trying to escape a difficult past by working as a live-in maid for a rich family.

I’m really getting pulled into this story! It starts with her moving in and quickly realizing things aren’t what they seem – this family puts on a perfect face, but there’s something dark hidden underneath. Amanda Seyfried is amazing as Nina Winchester, and Brandon Sklenar plays her husband, Andrew. The cast is full of great actors too, like Michele Morrone and Elizabeth Perkins – it’s shaping up to be a seriously tense and gripping film.

Okay, so I just got a first look at the upcoming thriller, The Housemaid, and it’s definitely got a creepy vibe. The movie was filmed in New Jersey between January and March. Lionsgate plans to release it in the U.S. on December 19th.
