Sword of the Demon Hunter: Jinta’s Vengeance in Edo!

In the debut episode of ‘Sword of the Demon Hunter,’ titled ‘Demons and Humans,’ Suzune is forced to leave her home due to being disowned by her father. She escapes with Jinta, who feels remorseful for not shielding her. They find refuge in Kadono village under Motoharu’s care. Here, they meet his daughter, Shirayuki. Later on, Jinta discovers that Motoharu had been caring for Shirayuki as he was responsible for protecting her mother.

After Motoharu passes away, Shirayuki assumes the divine position. Despite their love, Shirayuki is compelled to marry Kiyomasa due to duty. Later, demons assault, and Suzune transforms into a demon and slays Shirayuki. In response, Jinta, who has become half-demon, promises retribution and departs to encounter his sister, only to run across Shirayuki’s reincarnation many years later.

In the next episode of “Sword Of The Demon Hunter,” we find Jinta, now known as Jinya, living in Edo ten years after parting ways with Kadono. He’s made a name for himself as a ronin, feared for his demon-slaying prowess. Following the inheritance of Yorai, Motoharu’s sword, Jinya will be approached by a merchant named Sugaya, who asks him to protect his daughter.

As reported by Sugaya’s aid, there has been a recurring apparition of a demon in their garden, calling out “Bring back the girl.” This occurrence suggests a fresh demonic peril that could be connected to the girl, dragging Jinya into an engagement with enigmatic powers from his past and his ongoing struggle against demons.

Titled ‘Daughter of the Demon,’ the second episode of ‘Sword of the Demon Hunter’ is set to debut on April 8, 2025, at midnight JST. This captivating series will stretch across two seasons, encompassing both the Spring and Summer of 2025. You can catch it on BS Fuji, Tokyo MX, and MBS.
