Production

I’m so excited about this movie! It’s being made by the people now running DC, Peter Safran and James Gunn, and they’ve got a great team helping them out with people like Nikolas Korda, Chantal Nong Vo, and Lars Winther as executive producers. Of course, it all started with the amazing characters created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster way back when – it’s cool to see their vision coming to life again!

Box office and Man of Tomorrow sequel

The movie *Superman* has earned over $615 million worldwide. James Gunn recently revealed that the next installment, titled *Man of Tomorrow*, is scheduled for release on July 9, 2027, with filming beginning in April 2026.

James Gunn recently described the upcoming film as a story where Lex Luthor and Superman are forced to team up against a massive threat. He emphasized that it’s not just a Superman story, but also deeply explores Lex Luthor’s character, revealing a surprising personal connection for Gunn himself.
