SUPERMAN/SPIDER-MAN Brings DC and Marvel’s Icons Together in 2026

After a history of team-ups spanning fifty years, Superman and Spider-Man are uniting again in a new comic book series, Superman/Spider-Man #1. The story is written by Mark Waid and illustrated by Jorge Jiménez. The first issue will be available in comic book stores in March 2026.

When reporters Clark Kent and Peter Parker investigate the same story, they stumble upon a global conspiracy—one that Brainiac and Doctor Octopus are determined to control. Luckily, these determined journalists have a secret: they’re actually Superman and Spider-Man!

Below, in our gallery, you can see the main cover for Superman/Spider-Man #1, illustrated by Jorge Jiménez. We’re also showcasing variant covers by artists like Jim Lee, Stanley “Artgerm” Lau, David Talaski, and more.

The first issue of DC’s Superman/Spider-Man will feature extra stories pairing characters from DC and Marvel. Tom King and Jim Lee will present a story about Lois Lane and Mary Jane Watson, while Matt Fraction and Steve Lieber will team up for a surprising tale involving Jimmy Olsen and Carnage. Sean Murphy will explore the future with Superboy, the Legion, and Spider-Man 2099. Finally, Uncanny X-Men writer Gail Simone and Belén Ortega will show us what happens when Power Girl crosses paths with the Punisher.

As a huge comic book and movie fan, I was really excited to see some fun ‘what if’ scenarios in this crossover! Writer Christopher Priest and artist Daniel Sampere imagined what would happen if Superboy Prime – who literally reads all the comics, which is hilarious – dropped in on Spider-Man right when he first got the black suit. And it was awesome to see Greg Rucka and Nicola Scott, the team behind some fantastic Wonder Woman stories, pit the Daily Planet against the Daily Bugle in a real race for a scoop. But the coolest part? They even showed a team-up between Pa Kent and Uncle Ben! It makes you wonder if we’ll finally get to see Aunt May and Ma Kent meet in a future crossover – fingers crossed!

The first issue of the DC Comics team-up, Superman/Spider-Man, will be available on Wednesday, March 25, 2026. The standard version will cost $7.99, while a version with cardstock cover variants will be priced at $8.99.
