As anticipated, the latest Superman film does feature a mid-credit scene and one following the end credits, right before the lights are turned on. In line with director James Gunn’s approach, though, these scenes aren’t previews for upcoming DC Universe films. Instead, they’re just fun little extras!

Does Superman Have a Mid-Credits Scene?
Absolutely, but with a slight twist. Following the cast montage, there’s a fleeting instant where Krypto is seen seated on Superman’s lap on the moon, gazing at Earth. Superman has his back turned towards us, while Krypto faces us, positioned behind Superman. It’s a nod to one of the initial promotional images from the movie. Essentially, it’s not a full scene, but rather a brief extra added on.
Does Superman Have a Post-Credits Scene?
The post-credits scene in Superman unfolds as follows: Superman and Mister Terrific scrutinize a structure in Metropolis, the latter having recently returned after Lex Luthor’s portal incident. Given the circumstances, his efforts were quite commendable. However, Superman, being particular, highlights that one specific building still shows a slight imperfection – an unlevel seam that hasn’t been fully smoothed out yet.
As a dedicated cinema enthusiast, I can’t help but feel a pang of frustration when Mister Terrific rightfully lashes out in the post-credits scene of Superman. He storms off, scattering dirt with each disgruntled step. Superman attempts to make amends, but it seems too little, too late. In a moment of self-reflection, he mutters about his occasional propensity for being a bit of a cad. And thus concludes the delightfully entertaining post-credits scene of Superman.
This scene echoes the Silver Age of comics, where covers often portrayed Superman as a bit of a jerk, though the stories themselves never delivered on that promise. It’s just the kind of Easter egg we’ve come to expect from James Gunn – a clever nod to comic book history that keeps us guessing and leaves us eager for more.
In simpler terms, this scene clearly illustrates that despite Superman and the Justice League being good friends, there’s still some tension between them. If Superman could just manage to be a little more diplomatic at times, perhaps their relationships would run more smoothly.
