This summer, prepare for the global release of “Superman,” DC Studios’ first film adaptation, produced by Warner Bros. Pictures. Director James Gunn breathes new life into the iconic superhero within the revamped DC universe, combining exhilarating action, wit, and emotional depth. The Superman we’ll meet is motivated by empathy and his unwavering faith in humanity’s inherent goodness.

Who is behind the movie?

The movie is being produced by DC Studios leaders Peter Safran and Gunn, with Gunn himself serving as director, having written the script himself. This film is inspired by DC characters, with Superman originally conceived by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster.

Who stars?

In this upcoming film, David Corenswet, famously known for “Twisters” and “Hollywood,” takes on a double role as both Superman and Clark Kent. Rachel Brosnahan, best recognized from “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel,” portrays Lois Lane, while Nicholas Hoult, well-known for his roles in the “X-Men” series and “Juror #2”, steps into the shoes of Lex Luthor. The cast also includes Edi Gathegi, Anthony Carrigan, Nathan Fillion, Isabela Merced, Skyler Gisondo, Sara Sampaio, María Gabriela de Faría, Wendell Pierce, Alan Tudyk, Pruitt Taylor Vince, and Neva Howell. The film is executive produced by Nikolas Korda, Chantal Nong Vo, and Lars Winther. James Gunn leads the production, with Henry Braham handling the cinematography, Beth Mickle responsible for production design, Judianna Makovsky in charge of costumes, John Murphy composing the music, Craig Alpert, Jason Ballantine, and William Hoy contributing to the editing.
