Both DC and Marvel are teaming up to revive a legendary pairing: Superman and Spider-Man. This collaboration will extend into 2026, featuring a mix of reprinted, beloved stories and brand new adventures created especially for fans.
The festivities begin in January with two large-format reprints of classic comics. On January 7th, DC will publish Treasury Edition 50th Anniversary of Superman vs. The Amazing Spider-Man #1, a precise copy of the original comic book that first brought these two iconic heroes together.
On February 4th, DC and Marvel Present: Superman and Spider-Man Treasury Edition #1 will re-release a story that has been unavailable for quite some time.
Besides reprinting older issues, there are also plans for new standalone comics coming out in spring 2026. DC is going to publish Superman/Spider-Man #1 in March, and Marvel will then release Spider-Man/Superman #1 in April. Although we don’t yet know the specific stories or who will be working on them, both comics will offer new tales that celebrate the history of these famous characters.
This team-up is one result of a partnership between the two publishing companies that started earlier this year. Their first project together was the Deadpool/Batman #1 crossover, and Batman/Deadpool #1 will be available on November 19th.
Both DC and Marvel are working to attract both loyal, longtime fans and new readers by reimagining classic stories and developing fresh, original content. This dual approach ensures there’s something for everyone.
It’s really exciting for comic book lovers to see Superman and Spider-Man working together once more. This collection offers both the enjoyment of older, well-loved stories and fresh, new adventures, making it a wonderful tribute to the past and a promising look toward the future.
It’s a smart way to honor the characters’ history while introducing them to a modern audience.
