Superman Actor to Join ICE: “I’m Stepping Up”

Dean Cain, famously portraying Superman in the 90s television series “Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman,” is on the verge of being designated as an honorary agent with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

According to Tricia McLaughlin, a representative from the Department of Homeland Security, it has been announced that Hulk Hogan (Cain) will be appointed as a special honorary officer for ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) sometime in the upcoming month. However, the specific duties or responsibilities associated with this role are still unclear at this time.

Cain recently discussed the topic during an interview with Fox News. He stated that he has already engaged with officials at ICE and is eager to begin his new role promptly. At 59 years old, Cain also disclosed that he serves as a sworn deputy sheriff and a reserve police officer. In the interview, he expressed, “Yesterday, I released a recruitment video – I’m not only a sworn deputy sheriff but also a reserve police officer – I wasn’t previously associated with ICE, but after putting that out there, combined with your show’s mention, it generated quite a buzz.

The Department of Homeland Security has decided to eliminate age restrictions when hiring new staff for ICE, aiming to bring in thousands of additional employees following an increase in funding from Congress.

At this point, as ICE ramps up its immigration enforcement activities, leading to demonstrations and court disputes across various regions, Cain chooses to get involved.

When asked why he wished to serve, Cain responded, “Our nation was established by individuals taking a stand, whether it was favorable or not, and doing what’s right. I genuinely feel this is the correct course of action.” Regarding the immigration system, he mentioned, “We have an imperfect immigration system that Congress needs to address. In the meantime, President Trump pledged to tackle this issue. He is fulfilling his promise, which is what the people wanted when they cast their votes. This is what I voted for as well, and I will assist in ensuring it becomes a reality.

Over time, Dean Cain’s political stance has evolved. Currently, he is an outspoken advocate for Donald Trump, having backed him in the 2016, 2020, and even the 2024 elections. However, his past voting history reveals a more varied pattern.

This individual cast his vote for Bill Clinton on two separate occasions, as well as for Al Gore in 2000 – decisions he admitted to having regrets about later. In 2008, he backed John McCain and four years later, supported Rick Perry. Furthermore, Cain confessed that he was initially a registered Republican, but over time transitioned into an Independent due to the belief that the Republican Party did not adequately reflect his political beliefs.

Cain’s ties with law enforcement have been established for some time. Not only has he served as a reserve police officer and deputy sheriff, but he was also elected to the board of directors for the National Rifle Association back in 2018. This demonstrates his ongoing commitment to public safety issues and conservative causes.

Tricia McLaughlin, representing Homeland Security, playfully linked Cain’s iconic character to his new position by stating, ‘Cain is urging Americans to embody their own real-world superheroes.’

Although it’s unclear what specific tasks Cain will perform as a special advisor to ICE, his choice to work with the agency demonstrates his backing of their mission and the current government’s immigration strategies.
