The Supergirl movie is officially locked in for CCXP25.
I found it really amusing that people pointed out a fan poster looked a lot like the style of Shazam!. It totally makes sense, though! James Gunn’s vision for the DCU has been leaning into that same fun, lighthearted vibe, and it turns out Peter Safran, who’s now co-running DC Studios with Gunn, actually produced the Shazam! movies. Small world!

Supergirl Heads to Brazil
Warner Bros. has announced its complete schedule for CCXP25, showcasing titles like Supergirl, Mortal Kombat 2, and A Noiva, along with special events and experiences at the Warner Bros. booth.
This is the strongest indication so far that Supergirl will be a key launch title for the DCU in 2026. CCXP is a convention where studios frequently share early footage, often months before similar events in the U.S.
It’s still unclear how successful the Supergirl movie will be in theaters. James Gunn’s Superman film earned about $600 million but didn’t do particularly well overseas. The big question now is whether Supergirl will outperform it.
When is CCXP?
CCXP takes place in Brazil from December 4th to 7th, and fans are hoping for a first look at Supergirl – whether it’s a teaser, trailer, or some initial footage.

Supergirl release info
