Good news for DC Studios fans! The first trailer for the new Supergirl movie is coming out tomorrow. It will be released at 12pm Eastern Time, 9am Pacific Time, and 5pm British Summer Time.
The movie’s first poster was also released alongside the trailer. Its tagline, “Truth, Justice, Whatever,” hints that this Supergirl will have a much more rebellious and unconventional personality compared to Superman.
Music fans have something to look forward to in this movie as well! Ramin Djawadi, the composer behind the music for Game of Thrones, is creating the score for Supergirl. This is building even more anticipation for the film, especially among DC Comics enthusiasts.

Craig Gillespie directed the film, with a screenplay by Ana Nogueira. Milly Alcock stars as Supergirl (Kara Zor-El), and the cast also includes Matthias Schoenaerts, Eve Ridley, David Krumholtz, Emily Beecham, and Jason Momoa.
The movie centers on Supergirl’s perilous journey across the galaxy, driven by a desire for revenge. It’s being produced by James Gunn and Peter Safran from DC Studios.
Warner Bros. Pictures plans to release the movie Supergirl in the U.S. on June 26, 2026. It will be one of the first films in the new DC Universe, kicking off what’s being called ‘Chapter One: Gods and Monsters’.

The movie centers around Kara Zor-El, who embarks on a galactic journey with her dog, Krypto, for her 21st birthday. During her travels, she encounters a girl named Ruthye Marye Knoll. A devastating incident then sets Kara on a path of vengeance.
Milly Alcock stars as Kara Zor-El, a survivor from the shattered planet Krypton. Having witnessed the deaths of everyone she knew, she’s a more hardened and cynical hero compared to Superman, who had a more sheltered upbringing on Earth. Producer James Gunn describes her as a character who is both charmingly playful and fiercely independent.
