Nintendo recently gave fans a big update on the upcoming Super Mario Galaxy movie, including a look at who will be voicing some of the most famous characters.
I was at the presentation today, and the biggest news was definitely that the movie is officially in post-production! It feels like things are really moving forward now, and they made that clear. It was the main takeaway from everything they shared.
The recent digital event revealed a new trailer officially showing Yoshi in the upcoming movie. Although his appearance was accidentally leaked months earlier on a Pillsbury cookie box, this is the first time we’ve seen him in action. Yoshi isn’t the only familiar face joining the adventure – the trailer also confirmed that Birdo will be appearing in the space-themed film.
Get ready for amazing new worlds and characters! Yoshi is along for the ride in The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, coming to theaters April 1st.

The recent announcement included an unexpected change to the movie’s release date. Originally planned for April 3rd, the studio has decided to release “The Super Mario Galaxy Movie” two days earlier, on April 1st.
I’m so excited about the voice cast for this movie! Chris Pratt is going to be amazing as Mario, and Anya Taylor-Joy is perfect as Princess Peach. Plus, we’ve got Charlie Day as Luigi and Jack Black as Bowser – seriously, Jack Black as Bowser is going to be epic! They’ve also added some great new voices like Keegan-Michael Key as Toad and Brie Larson as Rosalina, and it’s awesome to have returning voices like Kevin Michael Richardson as Kamek and Benny Safdie as Bowser Jr. back too!
