‘Super Mario Galaxy’ Movie Teaser Reveals Fire Mario and Luigi Before Sunday’s Exclusive First Look

Nintendo will be showing off a first look at The Super Mario Bros. Movie this Sunday, January 25th. They’ve announced a special Nintendo Direct presentation at 6 a.m. Pacific Time dedicated entirely to the movie – so don’t expect any news about video games during the broadcast.

A new picture of Mario and Luigi using their Fire Flower power-up was revealed. In the games, this power-up lets them throw fireballs. Fans are thrilled to see how this iconic ability will be shown in the upcoming animated movie from Illumination.

Following the initial trailer released in November, Nintendo has announced more actors joining the cast. Brie Larson will be the voice of Princess Rosalina, who protects the cosmos, and Benny Safdie will play Bowser Jr., the son of the Fire Kingdom’s ruler. Chris Pratt and Charlie Day are returning as Mario and Luigi, respectively, while Anya Taylor-Joy will once again voice Princess Peach, and Jack Black will reprise his role as Bowser.
