Street Fighter: Noah Centineo and Orville Peck Tease Their Roles

The main actors from the upcoming Street Fighter film by Legendary are beginning to offer fans a glimpse at what happens on set, with Noah Centineo and Orville Peck hinting at their character metamorphoses as they prepare to embody Ken Masters and Vega respectively.

Noah Centineo as Ken Masters

As a passionate cinephile, I recently had the pleasure of sharing some behind-the-scenes snaps showcasing my fresh new look while filming. With my sun-kissed golden locks, sculpted physique, and that signature swagger, I’m geared up to embody Ken – the bold American martial artist who’s been best friends with Ryu since they were kids, training side by side.

Ken is well-known within the gaming series as a renowned fighter, famous for his incendiary Hadouken move and vibrant character traits. Centineo’s portrayal is more akin to the virtual character than many initially anticipated.

Orville Peck as Vega

Simultaneously, country artist Orville Peck hinted at his casting as Vega by sharing backstage photos. Known for wearing a mask, sporting talons, and having an excessive vanity towards physical appearance, Vega is a well-known Spanish cage fighter. Orville Peck’s enigmatic stage character seems to align perfectly with the role, making him an ideal choice.

People have been noting the similarity between Peck’s unique style and stage charisma, and Vega’s theatrical panache.

People are commenting on how Peck and Vega both have a special look and performance style that fits well with the dramatic side of theater.

Cast Expands Further

The ensemble continues to grow, with other big names confirmed:

  • Andrew Koji as Ryu
  • Roman Reigns as Akuma
  • Jason Momoa as Blanka
  • Callina Liang as Chun-Li

The movie is currently under the leadership of Kitao Sakurai (known for “Bad Trip” and “Twisted Metal”), as Legendary takes over the rights to the renowned Capcom game franchise, which will now be producing it.

What’s Next?

It appears that Centineo and Peck have added to the suspense, hinting that perhaps other cast members will soon unveil their character transformations. Excitement is building among fans as they eagerly anticipate Jason Momoa and Roman Reigns’ first appearances as Blanka and Akuma respectively.
