Cast Embraces the Street Fighter Legacy

I was watching a behind-the-scenes clip, and it was so cool to hear the actors talk about how much this series means to them. They really feel the weight of trying to get their characters right, and you can tell they’re taking that responsibility seriously. It’s awesome to see how much they care!

Andrew Koji, who plays Ryu, said they’ll do everything they can to faithfully and vividly portray the characters.

Several actors also talk about growing up playing the games.

“We’re all big Street Fighter fans,” added Koji.

“I played it on my PS4, my PS5,” said Callina Liang, who plays Chun-Li.

Andrew Schulz, who plays Dan Hibiki, said, “I was obsessed with Street Fighter.”

Balrog actor 50 Cent chimed in, “I just hit the button so fast and then see what happens.”

As a huge cinema fan, I was really excited to see the featurette also included WWE stars Cody Rhodes playing Guile, and Roman Reigns – or Joe Anoa’i as he’s known – taking on the role of Akuma. It’s a fun casting choice and I’m eager to see them in action!
