This animated show was actually one of the first ideas the Duffer Brothers had when Netflix asked about spin-offs. They plan to keep the same feel as the original series, aiming for a visual style reminiscent of 1980s cartoons.

Despite being animated, the series clearly maintains the same spirit as Stranger Things, showcasing familiar young characters – Mike, Max, Dustin, Will, Lucas, and Eleven – alongside glimpses of the eerie Upside Down.

The big question everyone’s asking is whether Eddie Munson could reappear in Stranger Things: Tales From ’85, even if just for a brief appearance. And the answer is yes – since he died in 1986, a flashback or similar appearance is definitely possible.

Stranger Things: Tales From ’85 Announces Voice Cast, OG Actors NOT Returning

Unlike the original Stranger Things, the animated spin-off, Stranger Things: Tales From ’85, won’t feature the show’s usual cast. Instead, it will introduce a new group of voice actors, including Brooklyn Davey Norstedt as Eleven, Jolie Hoang-Rappaport as Max, Luca Diaz as Mike, Ej Williams as Lucas, Braxton Quinney as Dustin, Ben Plessala as Will, and Brett Gipson as Hopper. Odessa A’zion, Janeane Garofalo, and Lou Diamond Phillips are also part of the voice cast.
