While making pizza, Finn Wolfhard and Natalia Dyer reminisced about their experiences filming Stranger Things.
The cast members discussed the show in a video with New York Times Cooking posted on social media on December 30th, the day before the final episode launched on Netflix.
I was so curious about what the cast ate on set, and Finn Wolfhard, who’s 23, shared that he always thinks of doughnuts and chicken wings when he remembers filming! Sadie Sink, 30, chimed in and said she really loved the chocolate chip cookies the caterers made. It’s funny how food can bring back such strong memories!
Wolfhard shared that the cast initially attempted to maintain a healthy diet, but gradually gave in to less healthy cravings. He explained, “It always begins with everyone trying to eat well, but around the sixth month, it’s all about grabbing Danimals!”
Wolfhard remembered a humorous incident from his 13th birthday. He’d told one of the crew he was fasting from sugar for Lent, and the crew member bluntly replied, “No way!” Wolfhard sheepishly admitted he was caught sneaking Sour Skittles just thirty minutes later.
As a huge fan of Stranger Things, I’ve always loved getting little glimpses behind the camera. Hearing the cast share their memories really brings those filming days to life – it’s the little, everyday moments that made the whole experience so special, and it’s amazing to finally get a peek at them.
