As a die-hard fan, I couldn’t help but feel thrilled when I heard that Noah Schnapp endorsed Millie Bobby Brown’s romance with Jake Bongiovi. At the premiere of Stranger Things: The First Shadow on Broadway, he disclosed his longstanding protective stance towards his dear friend and her romantic affairs.
As far as her previous relationships go, I’ve been quite critical, I must admit. However, when it comes to Bongiovi, things were distinctly different. To be honest, I found myself genuinely liking him a lot. It was the first time I felt comfortable saying, “You know what? I approve. I think this could last long term.” And lucky for me, it did turn out to be a long-term relationship, so I’m more than happy with my approval.
Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi became a couple in 2021, with whispers of romance starting in June. By November, they confirmed their relationship on Instagram. In April 2023, they announced their engagement. They secretly got married in May 2024, followed by a grand wedding ceremony in October, according to PEOPLE magazine.
In their partnership, they’ve consistently shared updates with their followers via social media and interviews, disclosing significant events as they occurred.
During the filming of Stranger Things, Schnapp and Brown forged a tight friendship that has endured over time. They frequently discuss their deep connection. In fact, as a humorous aside in 2022, they playfully proposed a deal to marry each other if they were still single at the age of 40.
In an interview with MTV News in June 2022, Brown mentioned that she and Schnapp had a deal to get married if they were both unmarried at age 40, playfully suggesting they’d make good housemates. Schnapp concurred, and Brown emphasized that the arrangement was strictly platonic.
At Epic Cons’ The Upside Down event in Jackson, Georgia on October 19, Noah Schnapp shared more about their friendship. He mentioned they bonded quickly, even before Millie Bobby Brown shaved her head for her Eleven role. According to Schnapp, they share many precious moments together, and he considers Brown like family.
Apart from this, he expressed the significance of his friendships with his fellow Stranger Things cast members, stating that they’re more like kin to him and maintaining those connections and expressing affection towards them is crucial.
