Stranger Things’ Joe Keery Almost Lost Entire Djo Album After Cab Mishap: ‘Luckily Nobody…’

It turns out that just before releasing his new album, The Crux, Joe Keery (known as Djo in the music world) nearly faced a catastrophe! He shared an incident where he inadvertently left his hard drive in a taxi.

8th of April, while talking to Deezer, the multi-talented artist-songwriter admitted that he accidentally left his hard drive containing all the tracks for his upcoming album in an Uber. He attempted to reach the driver using his phone, but discovered it was dead.

In simpler terms, Keery said, “I ran as fast as I could, but it was a long chase until I caught up. When I finally did, I found out it wasn’t the right taxi, and I felt really upset.

He grew concerned that someone might steal the unprotected hard drive containing his unreleased songs, so he decided to return to his hotel, recharge his phone, and reach out to the driver.

Apart from being tired, I felt unwell due to all the running I had been doing, he remembered. Luckily, the driver found out that the hard drive had slid beneath the seat instead of being taken.

Previously, I likened my latest album, released on April 4, to a hotel, where various guests reside who, in one way or another, find themselves at life’s intersections. Critics are already praising the music, with some even hailing it as my finest work to date.

The actor shared that he aimed to include aspects of his personal life and past experiences within his work. Additionally, he honored his Stranger Things co-star Charlie Heaton by creating a whole song in his honor.
