After the creators of Stranger Things appeared on TV and hinted at difficult times ahead, fans are concerned about the fate of Steve Harrington in the show’s final season.
Brothers Matt and Ross Duffer, the creators of the show, recently appeared on Jimmy Fallon’s talk show to playfully hint at what’s coming in Season 5.
The brothers cleverly used Funko POP dolls of the show’s characters to drop hints about the ending. What started as a playful tactic soon created a feeling of suspense for viewers.
Throughout the show segment, Jimmy Fallon watched as objects were rearranged on the table. The unusual and seemingly meaningful way they were placed quickly sparked interest among viewers.
The biggest reaction from the audience happened when a Steve Harrington action figure was knocked off the table. Jimmy Fallon playfully suggested this could be the show’s ending, then showed a quick preview of the new season.
The creators of Stranger Things, the Duffer Brothers, hinted at how the show will end by showing off unreleased Funko POP! figures and a brand new clip from Volume 2 on The Fallon Tonight Show. 👀

After the latest episode aired, a scene quickly went viral on social media, leading many fans to speculate about Steve’s fate. Some wondered if the show’s creators, the Duffers, were hinting at his death in the final episodes. While some viewers believe this was a deliberate attempt to shock and upset fans, others think it might be a trick – a fake-out designed to make it seem like Steve dies before he ultimately returns.
I have to admit, Steve Harrington has become my absolute favorite character on the show – Joe Keery is just fantastic! Because I love him so much, I’ve always been worried something bad would happen to him, and this latest scene really ramped up those fears. It was so stressful!
The Duffer Brothers haven’t revealed what will happen to Steve. What we do know is when the last episodes of Stranger Things will be released: Volume 2 arrives on Netflix on December 25th, and the very final episode will be available on December 31st. Until then, fans will have to speculate about what’s in store.
