Stranger Things 5 Volume 2 Trailer: Dustin and Steve Face Doom of Upside Down Ahead of Christmas Day Drop, ‘You Die, I Die’

The first part of Stranger Things 5 ended with a shocking cliffhanger, leaving fans eager to find out what happens next. Now, Netflix has released a new trailer for Stranger Things 5: Volume 2, offering a sneak peek at the story that will unfold this Christmas.

Stranger Things 5: Volume 2 new trailer OUT

The new trailer opens with Will Byers declaring, “We failed,” according to actor Noah Schnapp. Viewers were previously surprised to see Will develop supernatural abilities. His mother, Joyce, warns that the fight is far from over. Then, Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo) reveals that everything they thought they knew about the Upside Down is incorrect, hinting at more unexpected twists to come for fans of the show.

As Diana Ross’s “Upside Down” begins, we see Millie Bobby Brown as Eleven, wearing her headphones and bandana. She’s intensely focused on stopping Vecna and reaches out to her sister, Kali (Linnea Berthelsen), for assistance. Meanwhile, Max (Sadie Sink) and Holly (Nell Fisher) share a quiet moment, offering a brief respite from the action.

Lucas, Mike, Murray, Nancy, Jonathan, Dustin, Steve, Robin, and Erica all show up and bravely fight their way past the soldiers.

Vecna is determined to cause widespread destruction, proclaiming, “It is time for new worlds.” Though this might sound thrilling, the realities to come are likely to be painful. Steve and Dustin echo a line from Stranger Things Season 3 – “You die, I die” – which reinforces the sense of impending doom. This exchange has understandably worried fans about the fate of their beloved characters and their strong bond.
