In autumn of 1987, Season 5 will resume from where Season 4 ended dramatically. The group from Hawkins finds themselves in a challenging predicament: although Vecna appears to have been vanquished, Will still senses his presence. Max is in a coma following a severe battle, and the town of Hawkins is left in disarray due to an earthquake triggered by the Upside Down. These incidents pave the way for a thrilling concluding confrontation.

Netflix has given a peek at some thrilling changes coming up in the upcoming season. These include a leap forward in time and the revelation of the final eight episode titles. The last episode, titled “The Rightside Up,” suggests a climactic, emotional ending to the narrative.
