Stephen King’s The Institute: Trailer Just Dropped & It’s INSANE!

MGM+ unveiled the initial teaser and photos for “The Institute”, an upcoming psychological thriller series adapted from Stephen King‘s novel. The series will make its debut on July 13 at 9 p.m., Eastern and Pacific Time.

A Facility for Gifted—and Abducted—Kids

At the heart of the story lies teenager Luke Ellis (Joe Freeman), snatched away and transported to a clandestine location called ‘The Institute.’ Here, he encounters other youngsters with peculiar talents, all brought here under similar circumstances—they were all abducted. The enigmatic staff in charge includes Mary-Louise Parker portraying Ms. Sigsby.

A Cop with a Past

In a peaceful neighboring community, ex-police officer Tim Jamieson, played by Ben Barnes, is making an effort to restart his existence. His course intersects with Luke’s, sparking a series of occurrences that connect the wider world to the unsettling research being conducted within The Institute.

The Team Behind the Series

In this show, Jack Bender takes charge of the direction, while both Benjamin Cavell and he contribute to the writing process. Additionally, they are joined by Stephen King, Gary Barber, Sam Sheridan, Ed Redlich, and Bender as executive producers.
