Marvel has delayed Daredevil #1 by one week, pushing the launch to April 1.
According to series writer Stephanie Phillips, a slight delay is happening while they finish preparing the True Believer Blind Bags and make sure the special versions inside are packaged correctly. She shared this information on TikTok.
While the shift may be minor, it gives fans extra time to place preorders ahead of release.
Marvel Previews Omen, a New Threat for Matt Murdock
Marvel.com announced a new release date and shared a preview, along with an interview with the writer, focusing on the intriguing new villain named Omen.
Phillips notes that the villain Omen mixes the styles of detective noir and horror, and uniquely focuses his attacks on Matt Murdock as a person, rather than simply Daredevil, the hero.
As Daredevil continues his battle, the showrunner hints that the biggest puzzle isn’t just about the new villain, but how Omen’s appearance connects to Matt Murdock’s hidden history.
She explained that Gothic novels and ancient Greek plays heavily influenced the character, calling Omen a figure who is both frightening and deeply sad.

Matt Murdock’s New Status Quo
The relaunch also introduces a major shift in Matt’s daily life, he’s now a law professor.
Phillips noted that the classroom environment often leads to surprising disagreements, as younger students question Matt’s established legal beliefs.
Matt is finding it difficult to balance his new job as a teacher with his nighttime activities as Daredevil, and it’s obvious he’s already struggling to manage both parts of his life.

Phillips and Garbett Build Their Vision Together
This new series is really special because it’s something Todd Phillips and artist Lee Garbett have been dreaming about for ages. They actually wanted to tackle Daredevil together way back when, so it’s awesome they finally got the chance. It feels like a true passion project for both of them, and you can tell!
Phillips explained that their team works very closely together, sharing ideas and imagery throughout the process to create the right mood and impact for the new series.
Garbett’s artwork and Frank Martin’s coloring work together to enhance the classic noir style while still capturing the character’s deep emotional impact.
