Launched in 2021, *Star Wars: Visions* quickly became known as one of the most original series in the *Star Wars* franchise. It began with Lucasfilm collaborating with nine Japanese anime studios to produce nine individual stories. A second volume followed in 2023, expanding the collaboration to include nine animation studios worldwide. Now, a third volume is on its way, returning to focus solely on Japanese studios.
The trailer for *Star Wars: Visions* Volume 3 is now available, giving us a look at all nine stories. Some of these new tales continue the storylines from Volume 1, and we’ll even see the return of popular characters like the Ronin. Here’s a list of the animation studios and voice actors working on the project:
Several renowned animation studios – including David Production, Kamikaze Douga, ANIMA, Kinema Citrus, Polygon Pictures, Production I.G, Project Studio Q, TRIGGER, and WIT Studio – collaborated to bring these stories to life. The talented voice cast features Anna Sawai, Freddie Highmore, George Takei, Harvey Guillén, Jodie Turner-Smith, Judith Light, Simu Liu, Stephanie Hsu, and Steve Buscemi, among others.
The third volume of *Star Wars: Visions* will be available on Disney+ starting October 29th. All nine animated shorts will be released at the same time. If you’re looking for something to watch now, the first two volumes are currently streaming on Disney+.
