Starfighter Heads Into Post-Production

Now that filming on Star Wars: Starfighter is finished, I’m hearing the team is diving headfirst into post-production. That means editing the footage, adding all the cool visual effects, perfecting the sound, and, of course, composing the score. It’s where a movie really comes together, and I’m excited to see how it all shapes up!

As a big Star Wars fan, I’m really excited about this new movie! It’s not trying to be part of the Skywalker family story at all – it’s a completely separate tale. It takes place roughly five years after The Rise of Skywalker, but it focuses on a brand new group of characters and explores a different part of the galaxy. It’s a fresh start, which is exactly what I was hoping for!

Cast And Release Date

The cast of Star Wars: Starfighter includes Ryan Gosling, Amy Adams, Flynn Gray, Matt Smith, Mia Goth, Aaron Pierre, Simon Bird, Jamael Westman, and Daniel Ings. Jonathan Tropper wrote the screenplay, and Claudio Miranda was the cinematographer.

Levy and Kathleen Kennedy produced the film, with Ryan Gosling, Dan Levine, and Mary and Josh McLaglen serving as executive producers.

Star Wars: Starfighter is scheduled to hit theaters on May 28, 2027.
