Let’s discuss the ranking of “Andor” among the top “Star Wars” releases; however, since the show is yet to complete its second (and concluding) season, we can’t make a definitive judgment. Yet, there’s one production that will undoubtedly be part of the conversation – “Star Wars Rebels“. This animated series has secured its place as one of the franchise’s finest achievements. If you haven’t watched it yet and have been holding out for some reason, you no longer have an excuse, as Disney is uploading episodes of “Rebels” weekly for free on YouTube.
Starting every Friday, the official YouTube channel “Star Wars Kids” now shares individual episodes from the animated series “Star Wars Rebels”. As of now, the initial three episodes from season one are already uploaded. This means that there are 72 more episodes or weeks left before the entire series can be streamed for free. (We initially learned about this news on Collider.)
Except if they incorporate some episodes specifically produced for the series, it’s unlikely that any of them will occupy the entire Friday release time. Instead, they could potentially be offered as additional bonus content.
If you or your child haven’t yet come across the animated series produced by Dave Filoni, Simon Kinberg, and Carrie Beck, it’s unfortunate but understandable. However, Star Wars has officially summarized the series for those who want to get up-to-speed on the storyline.
In these ominous galaxy-wide days, the Galactic Empire maintains its ironclad rule by instilling terror and oppression among the populace, leading some valiant souls to unite against tyranny. The diverse team aboard the starship Ghost bravely champions the cause of the powerless, igniting a flame that could spark a revolution.
The series, which aired from 2014 to 2018, might be now accessible for free viewing by Lucasfilm, given that all episodes are already available on Disney+. In essence, season one of Ahsoka functioned as a follow-up in numerous aspects. Several key characters from the ship known as the Ghost appeared prominently in the show and will reappear for season two.
It’s quite possible that the release schedule for the Rebels YouTube series could be signaling when we can expect season two of Ahsoka. In about 72 weeks, we’ll have the Star Wars Rebels finale available for free on YouTube. Shortly after that, we might see the premiere of Ahsoka season two. This will undoubtedly spark more intense discussions about which Star Wars project is the best.
