Fans can expect a fast-paced experience in the newly revealed Star Wars: Galactic Racer, showcased in a trailer at The Game Awards.
What Is Star Wars: Galactic Racer?
At the 2025 Game Awards, a brand-new Star Wars racing game called Star Wars: Galactic Racer was revealed. The game promises fast-paced action and takes place in the Outer Rim region of the Star Wars galaxy.

The new trailer (available below) and an interview on StarWars.com show how iconic Star Wars locations, like Jakku – including the Graveyard of Giants with its crashed Star Destroyer and AT-ATs – have been turned into exciting racetracks.
Fuse Games is creating the game alongside Lucasfilm Games. It blends the fast-paced racing fans love from previous titles with fresh gameplay and new faces, including a determined racer named Shade who’s driven by both ambition and a quest for revenge.

The new trailer and article highlight that Galactic Racer will let players race in many different ways, across several planets, using a variety of vehicles like speeders. Each vehicle will handle differently and offer unique strategies for players to master.
The initial trailer hints at the comeback of the popular, yet infamous, racer Sebulba, implying a richer link to the history of racing in the Star Wars universe.

The game is designed to offer a fresh take on Star Wars racing, featuring a single-player campaign and competitive online multiplayer. However, an official release date is still to come.
