For years, enthusiasts have been blending elements of anime and Star Wars to create intriguing mashups. Some of these creations have truly shone, with quality that even caught the attention of Lucasfilm. As a result, they produced an authentic anime series titled Star Wars: Visions, which is set to have a second season. However, this hasn’t dampened the spirit of fans who continue to produce their own unique anime-style Star Wars mashups. Through Comic Book, we learned about one such fan edit from TikTok user @random_rogue26. By combining clips from the animated series Galaxy of Adventures and a song from Japanese pop band Sunrise Skater Kids, they’ve crafted a video that emulates the opening sequence of a classic anime. You can watch it in the link provided below:

If Star Wars had an anime-style opening sequence, it might feature Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Han Solo, Chewbacca, Darth Vader, and more! #StarWarsAnimeOpening #LukeSkywalker #PrincessLeia #HanSolo #Chewbacca #DarthVader #ForYouPage #MariasCountMeIn

The 2018 series of animated shorts titled Star Wars: Galaxy of Adventures aren’t classified as anime, but they do seem to have been influenced by it. By revisiting significant scenes from all three Star Wars trilogies and giving them a high-energy update, they can be likened to the idea of Jedi in the style of Dragon Ball Z. When combined with Japanese pop music, it gives off the vibe of an undiscovered anime series from the ’90s. The majority of clips are taken from the original trilogy, and a few moments from the prequels have been added for variety. Regretfully, no characters from the sequel trilogy (Rey, Finn, and Poe) appear in this collection.
We strongly oppose the idea of any of the original “Star Wars” movies being transformed into live-action remakes. We can’t help but express our disapproval quite fervently, even going as far as swearing against it. However, this stance has piqued our interest in an animated adaptation instead. Imagine a new Disney+ series that revisits iconic scenes from the Star Wars saga and expands upon them with the creative freedom animation offers. The “Galaxy of Adventures” shorts were a promising beginning, but we’d welcome something more substantial. For now, we plan to watch this fan video multiple times for enjoyment.
