Man, remember when Star Wars Eclipse
According to Cage, work on Star Wars: Eclipse is still underway, and they plan to reveal more details soon.
The announcement revealed that Quantic Dream is developing a new game – a departure from their typical focus. For the first time, the studio is working on a multiplayer experience instead of a single-player one.
After focusing on single games for years, we’re now expanding our efforts. We have multiple teams working on a new generation of games, including a competitive multiplayer title. This new project shares the same innovative and creative spirit that’s always been at the heart of our studio,” Cage explained.
He explained that the new game might be unexpected for fans, as it’s quite different from their previous work. However, he emphasized that they’ve always been a team that embraces risks, pushes boundaries, and strives to achieve ambitious goals – it’s simply part of who they are.
Historically, when single-player game developers try to make multiplayer games, it hasn’t gone well. Because of this, players are understandably cautious about the recent announcement.
