Growing up, I always dreamt of witnessing Yoda in his prime, or unraveling Mace Windu‘s fate after that dramatic window leap. Now, with this new comic series, those dreams are about to become a reality!
Disney’s purchase of nearly all its media assets brings an exciting update for Star Wars enthusiasts, as they announced a fresh Marvel Comics series titled “Star Wars: Knights of the Jedi.
This collection will highlight legendary Jedi Masters such as Yoda, Mace Windu, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Qui-Gon Jinn in tales that take place prior to their tragic demises.
In this setup, we get a chance to observe the dynamics between the characters, many of which were only hinted at in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, but offer largely unexplored ground instead.
Mark Paniccia, the editor, expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming series by referring to the initial issue as a ‘thrilling’ one packed with unrelenting, action-packed lightsaber duels. This comic is set to offer an extraordinary level of Jedi combat.
Exploring backstory narratives in comic books might open up opportunities for adapting such methods in live-action productions.
Initially, fans showed great excitement upon hearing that a movie centered around Obi-Wan Kenobi was coming up, but later learned it would be a television series instead.
