It has been confirmed by Paramount+ that the TV series “Star Trek: Strange New Worlds” will conclude after its fifth season. This final season will have six episodes and production is expected to start later this year. The announcement was made prior to the Season 3 premiere, which is scheduled for July 17 with a double episode debut on Paramount+ in the U.S.
As a die-hard movie enthusiast, I’ve heard whispers that when the merger with Skydance is finalized, the contract for Star Trek with Alex Kurtzman might not be extended.
Season 3 Release Schedule
Following its debut, fresh installments of “Strange New Worlds” will become available every week on Thursdays. The final episode is set to air on September 11. In the meantime, work on Season 4 is underway and it’s expected to be released following the conclusion of Season 3.
Series Wraps with Praise and Awards
The television series “Strange New Worlds” has garnered positive feedback from both viewers and critics, with Rotten Tomatoes giving it the ‘Certified Fresh’ seal of approval for its initial two seasons. In 2023, it was nominated for a Critics Choice Award, and in 2022, it took home a Saturn Award.
The executive producers, Akiva Goldsman, Henry Alonso Myers, and Alex Kurtzman collectively expressed their gratitude to the fans and Paramount+ for allowing them to finish our five-season journey. They also hinted that this exciting voyage is far from concluded, as there are still three more seasons to be aired.
