
The Star Trek Universe panel showcased executive producers Akiva Goldsman, Henry Alonso Myers, and Alex Kurtzman, who delved into the lives of the Enterprise crew and their latest romances on board. Joining them were cast members Rebecca Romijn (Una Chin-Riley), Ethan Peck (Spock), Jess Bush (Chapel), Christina Chong (La’an), and Paul Wesley (Kirk). The panel also screened a whole episode, “A Space Adventure Hour,” a holodeck tale honoring the entire franchise. Paramount even unveiled an exclusive poster for this episode to Trek fans in attendance.
In this latest episode centered around puppets and, looking back at last year’s musical, it’s evident that the writers behind Strange New Worlds hold a soft spot for shows like Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel, both known for their innovative puppet and musical episodes. These are just some of the greatest genre series ever produced, making it no surprise that they inspired the writers. Unfortunately, we learned earlier this year that Star Trek: Strange New Worlds will conclude after a shortened fifth season. However, there’s still plenty to look forward to with numerous episodes remaining before that time comes. As the tagline for Star Trek: The Motion Picture reminds us, “The human journey is just beginning.
