In Star Trek: Defiant #26, readers are drawn into an exhilarating conflict between two factions embroiled in a destructive war. One faction comprises characters such as Worf, Shaxs, Alexander, and others who previously cherished honor above all else. However, they’re now compelled to adhere to the whims of the malevolent android, Lore, who has engineered them for his ruthless and autocratic regime.
On the contrary, a valiant rebel Maquis fleet, headed by Kahless II, Beverly, and Sisko, are battling to liberate themselves from Lore’s grasp. They are well aware of their predicament and are prepared to go to great lengths to dismantle it, despite having scarce resources at hand.
However, there is still a chance for the rebels, as unseen allies and concealed resources – much like the elusive U.S.S. Phoenix that evades Lore’s omniscient positronic eye – provide a flicker of hope in their struggle.

However, things may not be as dire as they appear: Secret allies exist in the most unexpected corners and valuable assets such as the renowned U.S.S. Phoenix remain undetected by Lore’s omniscient positronic sensor system.
