Spider-Man: Brand New Day Trailer Confirmed For Wednesday With First Look Released

Sony and Tom Holland have announced that the first trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day will be released on Wednesday, and a sneak peek is already available online.

The latest image features Spider-Man swinging through the city with a man draped over his shoulder – a clear nod to the cover of Amazing Fantasy #15, the 1962 comic book where Spider-Man first appeared.

Tom Holland announced on Instagram that the trailer for #SpiderManBrandNewDay is launching with help from the Spider-Man fan community. He explained that even Spider-Man needs assistance, and that some of the biggest fans will be sharing parts of the new trailer as it’s revealed around the world.

First look nods to Spider-Man’s comic book debut

Fans instantly noticed the image because it closely resembles a famous scene from the beginning of Spider-Man’s story in Marvel Comics.

The first appearance of Spider-Man in Amazing Fantasy #15 showed him swinging through the city with a man in his arms. A recent promotional image for the Brand New Day storyline seems to recreate that same scene.

This is a clear strategy for Sony and Marvel to link the upcoming film to the character’s origins and generate excitement for the trailer’s release.

This approach works well for Brand New Day. After the events of No Way Home, Peter Parker is starting over – everyone he knows has forgotten who he is.

Using a traditional Spider-Man look suggests this movie might offer a more realistic and simpler take on the hero.

Trailer arrives Wednesday

Following weeks of speculation about when it would be released – whether this week, next, or at CinemaCon – Sony has confirmed the first trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day will arrive on Wednesday.

This news comes after Sony launched the official movie website and contest pages, indicating a major marketing push was coming. Now, fans have official confirmation of the campaign’s start.
