In the upcoming Marvel movie, Tom Holland will reprise his role as everyone’s favorite character, Spider-Man. Ever since the announcement of “Spider-Man: A Fresh Start,” fans have been eagerly waiting for its release. Not long after unveiling the latest Peter Parker suit, the creators revealed a roster of villains that Tom Holland’s Spider-Man will be facing off against.

Based on recent news articles, it seems that the Silver Samurai character is set to appear in the upcoming movie. Previously, this character was featured in X-Men, and this time around, he’s slated to be an adversary to Peter Parker.

Who are the new villains in Spider-Man: Brand New Day?

According to Marvel comics, in the storyline “Brand New Day,” Michael Mando will once again portray the Scorpion, a character he played in the 2017 film “Spider-Man: Homecoming.” This time around, the Scorpion will team up with several other villains, including Tombstone, Tarantula, Boomerang, and Ramrod.

In the battle against the numerous villains stated earlier, Spider-Man from Holland steps up with allies such as the Hulk and the Punisher. It’s confirmed that Mark Ruffalo (portraying the Hulk) and Jon Bernthal (as the Punisher) have joined forces with other cast members in the upcoming film.

In terms of character development within the film, it appears that Bruce Banner plays a significant part beyond merely making a brief appearance, unlike The Punisher, whose details remain undisclosed for now.

Kevin Feige on Tom Holland’s return as Spider-Man

In light of the excitement surrounding the new Spider-Man movie, Kevin Feige hinted at Tom Holland’s character development into a true superhero. At a recent press event, the head of Marvel Cinematic Universe stated that the conclusion of “No Way Home” sets up an opportunity for audiences to witness, for the first time in the Tom Holland Spider-Man series, Peter Parker truly embracing his role as a genuine superhero.

Additionally, he noted that “He was alone, committed to safeguarding the city, and handling issues related more to everyday crimes on the streets rather than catastrophic global events.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day will be released in theaters on July 31, 2026.
