Filming on location will carry on until mid-August. Alongside the sets in Glasgow, they’re also working on production at Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire.
Update: Mark Ruffalo is confirmed back as the Hulk. Michael Mando returns as Scorpion.

Tom Holland is ready
Holland also spoke with the UK’s GQ on Friday.
I’m getting ready for Spider-Man 4 and have spent the whole day at the studio practicing stunts. It was a tough day, but things are moving along nicely. We’re making good headway, everything is falling into place. Honestly, life couldn’t be any better right now.
The Spider-Man Instagram account, run officially, has now been cleared of all earlier posts, aligning perfectly with the commencement of filming and the plot twist in No Way Home where everyone seems to have forgotten Peter’s identity.
Punisher and Street-Level Focus
In a recent conversation with journalists, Kevin Feige, during an Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) gathering, hinted at a significant change in tone for the upcoming movie, deviating from past installments.
In the tales featuring Tom Holland’s Spider-Man, we notice that he is portrayed authentically as a real Spider-Man, tackling everyday street crimes rather than global catastrophes, according to Feige’s statement.
He commented, “Indeed, it’s great that The Punisher made its debut in a Spider-Man comic… Destin [Daniel Cretton] is doing an outstanding job with the film right now… He has eight or nine comic covers displayed on the wall in his art department, which he is transforming into reality.
Rumors also offer Mark Ruffalo may be the villain as the Savage Hulk.
Returning Cast and Release Date
Tom Holland returns in the lead, joined by Zendaya and Jacob Batalon.
Newcomers Sadie Sink and Liza Colón-Zayas also join the cast in unknown roles.
Destin Daniel Cretton is set to direct, under the supervision of veteran Spider-Man producer Amy Pascal and Marvel Studio’s head honcho, Kevin Feige.
In a prior interview, Pascal stated that the film revolves around the character’s decision to abandon his life as Peter Parker and fully commit to being Spider-Man, as he found it excessively challenging. This is the essence of the storyline.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is set to hit theaters on July 31, 2026.
