Sony recently released a new behind-the-scenes video, named “Spider-Man: A Fresh Start – First Day on Set.” This video signifies the formal commencement of the production process for Tom Holland’s fourth Spider-Man movie.
The brief video provides a genuine, behind-the-scenes glimpse of Holland resuming his character’s costume and sharing his thoughts on reprising his role.

Tom Holland on His Fourth Day One
In the video, Holland refers to his fourth initial day playing Spider-Man and acknowledges that the suit feels distinct this time around. He also mentions for the first time, fans were present on the very first day of filming, finding it thrilling to involve them in the experience.
In a casual and straightforward manner, On set, Holland exchanges pleasantries with familiar people, makes light-hearted comments about not having much stress to perform perfectly, and expresses his feelings about a particular take by saying it felt unpleasant. The video intersperses these instances with footage of Holland in costume and brief glimpses of the crew busy at work behind the scenes.
Setting the Tone for Brand New Day
The hidden-camera clips underscore the feeling that Peter Parker is starting anew following the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home.
Amy Pascal, the producer, has affirmed that the film’s narrative revolves around Peter deciding to dedicate himself entirely to his role as Spider-Man, at the expense of his personal life. On the other hand, Kevin Feige, president of Marvel Studios, hinted at a grittier, urban vibe for the upcoming movie.
The Story
While specific details about the plot remain a secret, there’s talk that both Spider-Man and The Punisher will initially engage in conflict with Hulk. However, their alliance eventually expands as they join forces to confront the film’s primary antagonist together.
There’s been talk suggesting that the villains might be Mr. Negative or Lady Chameleon. Additionally, Michael Mando hinted at the possibility of the Scorpion suit.
Release Date
The movie titled “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” is helmed by Destin Daniel Cretton and boasts an impressive cast that includes Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, Mark Ruffalo, Michael Mando, Sadie Sink, as well as Liza Colón-Zayas.
The film swings into theaters on July 31, 2026.
