Spellbound TRAILER: What Does Rachel Zegler’s Princess Ellian Do When Her Royal Parents Javier Bardem & Nicole Kidman Turn Into Monsters? Watch

As a dedicated follower of animated movies and someone who has grown up with the magic of Disney classics, I am beyond excited about Netflix’s upcoming adventure, Spellbound. The trailer alone promises an enchanting tale that resonates deeply with my love for fairytales and mythology.

Netflix has unveiled a trailer for their upcoming animated adventure film titled “Spellbound”. This movie is generating buzz due to its distinctive plotline, and it promises an exciting cast collaboration – Rachel Zegler, Nicole Kidman, and Javier Bardem will lend their voices to the characters of Princess Ellian and her parents.

According to the trailer, the fantasy world’s princess, Ellian, encounters difficulties when her parents transform into monsters as a result of dark sorcery. As the story unfolds, Ellian embarks on a quest to undo this enchantment and return her protectors to their original forms.

As an utterly devoted fanboy, here’s my take:

In the upcoming animation, it’s worth noting that the director, Vicky Jenson – renowned for the 2001 hit Shrek – shared her personal connection to the project. She explained that stories from mythology and fairytales have held a significant place in her life since childhood.

Regarding Zegler, set to portray Snow White in the upcoming fantasy movie next year, the director expressed his admiration, stating that she truly exceeded expectations with her exceptional performance.

As a dedicated follower, I’m thrilled to share that apart from Zegler, Kidman, and Bardem, this upcoming movie also boasts an exceptional ensemble cast including John Lithgow, Jenifer Lewis, Nathan Lane, and Tituss Burgess. These talented individuals have brought life to the characters in Spellbound as well. Furthermore, Alan Menken has crafted the film’s enchanting background score, while Glenn Slater penned the lyrics, and Lauren Hynes, Elizabeth Martin, and Julia Miranda were responsible for the screenplay. I can hardly wait!

Jenson offered additional insights into the Netflix movie’s plot, stating that it goes beyond just portraying a family bond. She likened its deeper significance to classic myths and enduring fairy tales, suggesting that its relevance extends beyond the unique dynamics of the family depicted in the film.

The filmmaker feels confident that the movie carries a uplifting theme, which is particularly relevant for family viewers.

Spellbound will be available to stream on Netflix starting November 22.
