James Gunn assures fans that Robert Pattinson will remain in the role, and director Matt Reeves continues to be part of the team. Moreover, Reeves’ vision for the The Batman series remains a key focus.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Gunn revealed that he hasn’t chosen actors for Batman and Wonder Woman in his new DC Universe yet. However, Robert Pattinson will continue to play The Batman within Matt Reeves’ part of the DC world.

In spite of several postponements and whispers about potential cancellations or Reeves leaving the project, it’s confirmed that both Reeves and Pattinson are still on board for “The Batman 2”. At present, Reeves is finalizing the screenplay, as Gunn has shared that he is wrapping it up.

Reeves said it all boils down to whether or not something is logical. The exciting part is that we have a story, which we’ve titled ‘The Epic Crime Saga,’ that we wanted to share. It’s crucial for me to bring this story to life, and both James and Peter have been incredibly supportive, giving us the freedom to do so.
Reeves added, “As for what lies ahead, I’m not able to give you a clear answer at this moment. All I can say is that I’m currently focusing on getting The Batman Part II into production and making it truly extraordinary – which, as you might imagine, is the top priority.
