With a production cost ranging from a staggering 240 to 270 million dollars, they had envisioned a blockbuster that would leave audiences spellbound and critics in awe. However, the final product didn’t quite reach those lofty heights.
One explanation given as to why the film didn’t meet its projected success was due to a creative choice made by Disney. Rather than casting the actual dwarfs, they opted for computer-generated imagery (CGI). Additionally, the costume designs in the movie drew criticism.
