As a long-time follower and admirer of Snoop Dogg’s illustrious career, I find it utterly fascinating to witness the unique connections he has forged with some of the most influential figures on our planet. His reminiscing about his relationship with the late Queen Elizabeth II is nothing short of astonishing. Who would have thought that the legendary rapper and the British monarch would share such a special bond?
Renowned rapper and producer Snoop Dogg reminisced about his past interactions with the late Queen Elizabeth II during a radio interview. On July 23, while speaking on U.K. radio station Capital FM alongside DJ Jordan North, Snoop shared heartfelt memories of his encounters with the British monarch, affectionately referring to her as “my girl.”
When North enquired about his future actions during his stay in the U.K., Snoop casually mentioned, “I’ll drop by the palace, see if they allow me entry,” referring to Buckingham Palace. It’s only Snoop Dogg who can talk so effortlessly about the world’s most influential woman in such a laid-back way.
Additionally, he expressed both admiration for her liking his music and sympathy by sending his condolences, which were shared two years following her passing in 2022. “Peace to the Queen, she was my lady. Understand me?” (This sentence structure tries to mimic informal spoken language.)
“So, just may want to go up and, you know, see what you do,” Snoop added.

On earlier occasions, this rapper has expressed profound admiration for the Queen. In fact, he once shared with DJ Whoo Kid that she intervened when there was an attempt to bar him from Britain back in 1994. At that point, he faced first-degree and second-degree murder charges, leading certain British parties to try preventing his visits and performances within their borders.
In another account, Dogg shared that someone dismissed the accusations against him. If you’re wondering who stood up for me, here’s a hint: It was someone significant. During an interview, he mentioned, “I’ll give you a clue, it’s her. Can you guess? Yes, it’s our monarch. She declared, ‘He hasn’t done anything in our land. He’s free to enter.'”
As per PEOPLE’s report, he further stated that it’s said that King Charles himself appreciates his tunes, and it was actually Princes Harry and William who advised the Queen to endorse him.

According to Rolling Stones, Snoop Dogg’s friendship with Prince Harry became evident when he wrote and released a song titled “Wet” for Prince William’s bachelor party in 2010. Speaking about the inspiration behind this track, Snoop stated that he was invited to perform at the celebration of Prince William’s wedding, and he thought this song would make an ideal tribute to the Queen.
During the past week, the rapper participated in the 2024 Olympics’ opening ceremony in Paris. Specifically, he ran with the torch through the suburb of Saint-Denis.
