On January 26th, Sunday, the iconic rapper conducted a live stream on Instagram, which seemed to be a response to the backlash regarding his performance at the Crypto Ball. He expressed, “Despite all the negativity, I’ll respond with affection. I have too much love.
Continuing on, Snoop Dogg said, “Sort out your own affairs. Don’t concern yourself with mine. I’m doing fine. I’ve got myself together. Still a Black man. Still proudly Black. Keep going until you succeed or face failure.
In addition to the artist known for Drop It Like It’s Hot, Rick Ross and Soulja Boy, Nelly was also part of the crowd at the event. On that same night of January 20th, the stage at Liberty Ball saw Nelly’s performance. However, it is Snoop Dogg who has been heavily criticized as being a “traitor” or “sellout.
Over the weekend, he spoke more about the ongoing debate on the R&B Money Podcast. He expressed, “When you reach the pinnacle, you’ll encounter hatred, regardless of who you are. Should you respond to this hatred with more hatred, or should you counter it with love and triumph?
The rapper summarized, “In response to hostility and unfavorable feelings directed at me, I counter with achievement and affection. This is my strategy for dealing with hatred and negativity, as it’s the most potent force capable of overcoming it.
