Smile 2 Full Trailer: Does Naomi Scott’s Pop Star Fight Back Or Surrender To Terrifying Fate? Watch

As an ardent horror fan with a soft spot for spine-tingling tales and unexpected twists, I am positively thrilled about the upcoming release of Smile 2! Having grown up watching countless horror movies, I’ve developed a certain resilience to the jump scares and gory scenes, but even I must admit that the trailer for Smile 2 left me quivering in anticipation.

In a chilling setting, Naomi Scott delves into the terrifying realm of ‘Smile’, battling the enigmatic evils that lurk. As Paramount Pictures unveil their final trailer for Smile 2, fans can anticipate the recurrence of the unsettling ‘smile curse’ that Naomi Scott’s pop star character will grapple with.

In the initial release, the film proved to be a blockbuster, raking in approximately $217 million at the box office. The primary characters in this production were skillfully portrayed by Sosie Bacon and Kyle Gallner, with Bacon taking on the role of Rose Cotter and Gallner as Joel.

In a similar vein as its predecessor, the forthcoming horror-thriller presents Scott battling a curse and encountering eerie grins wherever she travels.

Regarding the storyline of the movie, here’s a summary: “Skye Riley, a famous worldwide pop artist, is preparing for a new world tour. However, she starts encountering strange and unsettling incidents that seem to defy explanation.” As the occurrences become more frequent and intense, Skye finds herself grappling with the mounting stresses of fame and the ghosts from her past. To reclaim control over her life before it slips away, she must confront her dark history.

As the trailer intensifies, Scott’s persona moves towards the figure who holds the power to halt supernatural occurrences. In line with the advice given, the famous singer chooses to take her own life.

Nevertheless, things don’t always go as expected. By the conclusion of the trailer, the actress encounters a supernatural entity, which leaves Scott with a chilling grin.

For the fresh film, we’ve got Luke Gage, Dylan Gelula, and Rosemarie DeWitt as part of the main cast. In the forthcoming sequel, Sosie Bacon and Kyle Gallner will take on the characters of Rose Cotter and Joel once more.

The movie doesn’t offer any comical relief, instead it consistently builds tension and fear with numerous jump scares throughout its duration. Additionally, based on the trailer, Gage’s character appears to have a significant presence in the film.

While making an appearance on the Jess Cagle show, Gage shared the details of the movie. He said, “The evil entity continues to pass its horrific curse from person to person in the next installment in the Smile franchise.”

Additionally, the actor commented, “That chilling grin alone is unsettling, and to add gruesome scenes to it… Well, I confess, I’m as delicate as any other. I’m a bit of a coward when it comes to such intense content.”

Smile 2 is set to release in theaters on October 18, 2024.
