Simu Liu Teases Fans with New Photo, Sparks X-Mansion Speculation

Simu Liu, known for his role in Marvel films, recently posted a photo online that has led fans to speculate he was visiting the iconic X-Mansion.

After the image appeared, fans quickly started guessing it has something to do with the next Avengers movie, currently known as Avengers: Doomsday, which is expected to be a major event in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

As a huge X-Men fan, I wasn’t surprised to see whispers about the X-Mansion popping up online during filming. There were a bunch of leaked photos showing buildings that really looked like the classic headquarters – the same design we’ve seen in the movies and, of course, in the comics. It definitely got me excited!

Avengers: Doomsday is the fifth movie in the Avengers series, coming from Marvel Studios and AGBO, and will be released by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. It’s a sequel to the 2019 film, Avengers: Endgame.

The movie is directed by Anthony and Joe Russo and written by Michael Waldron and Stephen McFeely, featuring a huge cast of actors. Chris Hemsworth, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Simu Liu, Florence Pugh, and Robert Downey Jr. all return, joined by characters from the X-Men and Fantastic Four, as well as newcomers like Tenoch Huerta Mejía, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Hannah John-Kamen.

This story is set fourteen months after the events of Thunderbolts. In Avengers: Doomsday, the Avengers join forces with heroes from Wakanda, the Fantastic Four, the New Avengers, and the original X-Men team to battle Doctor Doom, portrayed by Downey.

Filming for the movie started in April at Pinewood Studios in England, with additional scenes shot in England and Bahrain. Production finished in September, and the film is set to be released on December 18, 2026, as part of the sixth phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. A follow-up movie, Secret Wars, is planned for release on December 17, 2027.
